A couple of new features into my photos and videos

On 29 December 2014 I changed the photo gallery software back to the free and popular  NextGEN Gallery plugin and as a beta tester and translator of NGG plugin Photocrati has also given me so far a free usage of their commercial plugin NextGEN Gallery Pro.

These new photo tools allow me to introduce a couple of new features which will also show up to users:

  1. I have now protected my photos in such a way that you can’t download them using your mouse right button. You need to contact me if you want higher resolution versions from my photos than shown on these pages – especially my panoramas will have width resolution typically around 10 000 pixels allowing fairly large prints.
  2. To display my photos in your browser at maximum size I now use NGG Pro Lightbox. It not only shows the images as large as your screen allows but also you can comment or share links to individual photos within social media.

One additional possibility with NGG Pro plugin is to create a photo on-line store (eCommerce) allowing to sell any photo in any gallery. I do not plan to introduce eCommerce within these pages but I have considered selling some of my “best” shots in a separate eCommerce-only site, using maximum resolution of my photos. I will study this further e.g. to allow my photos to be used for canvas or aluminium decorative prints, flyers etc.

Another actually new function relates to videos. Advanced Responsive Video Embedder plugin will now allow me to present my videos mostly from Youtube in maximum size of the screen in a fully responsive way. So you can display a 16:9 video e.g. in your smartphone at maximum size  by using your phone in a horizontal position.

I hope these new features further help you to find nice stories, hints and photos from this site:)
